It's Christmas!

May I and my crew wish all of you a verry merry Christmas and a happy, peaceful and prosperous New Year.
I suppose we can also, for the coming year, hope for fair winds and rather more sun than we saw this year. Or is that too much to ask?
Our very best wishes to you all.
Nigel and Sheila.

Its Easter now - and no posts since Christmas!
Has everyone gone or are you all too busy getting the boat ready for this season?

Easter. Traditionally the start of the boating season for us and I would guess for many others also. As we spend almost every weekend of the winter on Jadzia we are, to all intents and purposes, ready for the coming summer. So many jobs completed, most recent being engines serviced, decks and hulls scrubbed. We dried Jadzia out over Easter in Christchurch Harbour for the latter. Not our usual place for the task, we normally favour a spot in Poole Harbour for that, but we happened to be there so it was convenient. Plus it was quiet. A few jobs still to do, and we did not get around to having the sails valeted as we said we would, but we needed them over the winter more than we anticipated. On quite a few excellent sailing days in fact. Bonus! Perhaps we will end up spreading the remaining tasks over the next few months, as and when we feel we should.
Best wishes to all readers of this forum, we hope the weather for the coming season is as good as the 'experts' are predicting.
Nigel and Sheila.
